Could it be construed as double dipping ?

Today's expected high, 9 degrees.

Sigh.

Guess that means winter's moved in before autumn's moved out.

Bigger sigh.

Is there any way winter can be evicted early due to arriving before it was booked in?

Today is my day for stupidity. That said, I'm going to sound like a total retard when I say the following.

Like OMG it's really true, on the opposite side of the planet they totally have like the opposite seasons!

I know this to be true, but I've never known anyone on the otherside of the planet to actually _know_ the truth.

We are just beginning to enjoy spring here in the Northern Reaches of the USA. For Tuesday (May 12) the anticipated high is 50 f (or 10 c). We northerners think it is a beautiful thing. People get out their shorts and walk around in tee shirts.

Now, minus 9 c around here is like fall, it gets out your light jacket and maybe some gloves. We know winter has arrived when it hits minus 49 f. Then we tend to bundle up when we go out for ice fishing.

Only one thing to conclude from that, Janie.

You are so much HARDER than me!

Today (with our maximum of 9 C) I am hugging the heater and mourning the fact that this is what the next five or so months are going to be like. I'm thinking this is cold, very cold.

If it cheers you up in any way, here in Dublin at the moment it's 9.45 am, the sun is shining, and it's 8 degrees.

This is our spring.

I think perhaps you give me a bit too much credit. It remains to be seen if I am actually harder or just stupider. Never the less, being cold, what ever cold is to you is rather unpleasant. After 6 months of winter we are ready for warm too, in what ever version of warm we get :)

If I have learned one thing from having friends all over the US, comfortable weather is relative. If I had your address, I'd send you my fleecy sock collection to keep you toasty warm on your cold New Zealand nights. Or, maybe just a Chippendale dancer....

Ohhh Tinman, that's fresh.

Hey Janie, I just had to google Chippendale dancer!
