Me + my house = major occupational health and safety risk.

Some things one should possibly try to avoid at all costs:

When mopping the floor, it is best not to step backwards into the corner, pokey-outie, sharp bit of the bench - with reasonable force.

Especially on to the bit where you've had a back operation.

Or two.

It could be worse. You could live in a 900 square foot house with 2 kids, 2 dogs, 4 cats, and seemingly the entire contents of a large toy store underfoot. I can't even see my floor to mop it.

Then again, we're moving anyway, so screw it.

But really, watch out for that bench. It's obviously holding a grudge about something and trying to do you in.

The bench has really got something against me - cause it's not the first time it's conspired against me. Last year I was standing on it, cleaning fly shit off the ceiling, went to take a step and the little fucker wasn't there.

Either that, or I am just really, really spatially thick.

Okay, I know you're at the bottom of the world, but really, flies shit on your ceiling?

I am really, really spatially thick. So I sympathize.

Youchy! Hope it didn't do too much damage :(

Fat Sparrow, yup they do. And it even has the audacity to stick.

Whoopsadaisy, I was completely floored. Dropped the mop, staggered to my bed, where I lay feeling very sorry for myself for about twenty minutes. It's the kind of pain that makes you want to hurl.
