Stories like this fill me with joy.

Wellington's new state-of-the-art hospital? $346 million.

Fact that twenty-eight rooms are too small to fit new beds?

Priceless.

People rock.

We have thousands of electronic voting machines in storage now for about five years because they were crap and never used.

Why didn't they just stick to the pencil and paper?

I am reasonably confident I am not telling a porker when I say that at the Sydney Olympic Games I think they got hundreds of ticket machines made, thousands of tickets printed only to discover that the tickets were, erm, too bit to fit in the machines.

We built a port tunnel that's too low for some of the trucks that arrive at the port to drive through.

Is this a "which of us has the silliest country" competition? Coz Holemaster and I are so gonna win.

Heh. I think Russia is stiff competition Tinman. They got half way through an office building and realised they were reading the plans the wrong way. It's now a tourist attraction now. A friend has been to see it.

I couldn't find a picture of it, but I found this http://englishrussia.com/?p=494
